About "Distant specter"

Happy 2025! This year opens with a number of expectations, from many. I found this beautiful photo in a Telegram account a few days ago and decided to put it on my desktop, so I can look at it while I work. On 14 November 2024, following a conversation with a friend, I inaugurated a new composition, ‘Distant specter’, since my interlocutor put forward the hypothesis that all of us, having reached the threshold of 50, have at least one distant specter, a distant thought that nags and afflicts us, even though it is not able, either in size or intensity, to spoil our mood. A thought of defeat, an ancestral call that would drive us towards our total failure, but which is not always present, throughout our day and does not really have an alarming volume in the space of our psyche. I have known failure. I have known failure. I have known despair, but as I moved 17 years ago, towards the Love that resignifies everything, I began to live in the harmony of the parts, in a splendid dream of possibilities, revelations, vital impulse and beauty of the Soul. We all have distant spectres, the important thing is that we do not let them become preponderant, in the area of our mind. The exchange of viewpoints, with someone who loves us, is always fruitful. I have my distant specters, but now I am a man and I try to live as best as I can. This musical composition, ‘Distant specter’, is in line with what I have always been searching for, in my existence and I must say that what I have written so far in the new piece, in a sound work in the making, gives me strength and induces me to have the will to discover whether, beyond the deceptions of a world in severe disarray, something else may exist, a different way of dealing with difficulties, a new possibility for Mankind, too often deceived by the powerful. ‘Distant specter’ will be my work for this start of the New Year.
